From one shared folder to every ribbon, in three steps.
Set up a tool library, decide who gets what, and let people press Sync. Each step can start simple and grow with your firm.
Set up your tool library
Choose where your tools live: a shared folder you already have, a SharePoint or Teams library synced by OneDrive, or a web address. Check Master Drive sets it up for you.
Fill it with your own tools, the 41 ready-made ones, and anything you import from pyRevit or AutoLISP.
Decide who gets what
Give roles to people or Active Directory groups, let teams own their tabs, and try new tools with a Beta group before everyone gets them.
Releases can need an admin’s approval, or two people’s, and every one can be rolled back. All of this is optional — you can start with one set of tools for everyone.
People press Sync
Install once on each computer, by hand or silently through your deployment tool. From then on, people press Sync and the ribbon updates in place — no reinstall, no restart.
Usage reports show which tools are used, how often they succeed and the hours they save.
When something goes wrong
- A bad release: roll back in one action, for everything or for a single tool
- A tool that must stop now: withdraw it, and on the next sync it greys out everywhere with your reason
- A tool that keeps failing: it benches itself automatically and tells people why
- A question months later: the audit trail shows who released, approved or withdrew what, and when
Run a two-week pilot
The free trial runs for 15 days on one computer. This is a plan for your BIM or CAD lead to see everything that matters in that time.
Before you start
- Pick the BIM or CAD lead who will run the pilot
- Choose the folder for your tool library — a new shared folder is fine
- Start the free trial on the lead’s computer (if Windows warns about the installer, see this)
- Have a copy of a real project folder to test on, not the live one
Week 1: set up and publish
- Point Yugmir at your folder and let Check Master Drive set it up
- Publish one of your own tools to Beta, switch your ribbon to the Beta tools with one click, and try it
- Import a pyRevit extension or a folder of LISP routines
- Schedule the Batch Runner overnight on the copied project folder, and read the report in the morning
Week 2: govern and measure
- Promote the tool to Production, then roll it back, and find both in the audit trail
- Set up a role so a tool reaches only the people who need it
- Withdraw a tool and watch it grey out on the next sync
- Open the usage report and set a time-saved figure for one tool
- Ask the AI assistant about the open model, if your firm allows it
For your IT team
- Silent install:
/VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /ALLUSERS, with the licence key and tool library on the command line - An MSI package for Group Policy, Configuration Manager and Intune, on request
- Group Policy settings for the tool library and the AI assistant override anything set locally
- The IT evaluation pack answers the security review: every network connection, where data lives, and the controls IT has
